Methods of Torture #1: 9 sinister things

When reading about the methods of torture used by the Nazis I came across many interesting facts. What interested me the most about the Nazis methods was how they experimented on the inmates."Prisoners were submerged in ice water to see the effects of hypothermia, injected with chemicals and poisons to test their effectiveness, sterilized, vivisected, and operated on without anesthetic"(Smallwood). I gather that instead of just killing the Jews they tortured them and forced them into dangerous experiments. It is very difficult for me to imagine this insane torture. If i were caught in this situation I would feel like I was slowly walking towards death. I think that knowing you are about to die is worse than dying unexpectedly. Knowing you are going to die can let fear consume your thoughts and haunt you forever.

  1. Powerful writing and reflection, Elena. It is so Disappointing that one group of humans could treat another group so inhumanely without feeling remorse. Thank you for sharing.
